Review a README, revise notes, and keep an editable Markdown copy of your work.
Compare headings, lists, tables, code blocks, math, and Mermaid diagrams with their source.
The editor renders documents in your browser. Linked images may contact external hosts; see the privacy policy for site data practices.
Download the current Markdown as a .md file or copy the source to the clipboard.
Markdown stores document structure in plain text. Use this editor to inspect a README, check a table, or revise a draft without installing a desktop application. It accepts .md, .markdown, and .txt files.
Paste text or select a local file; importing replaces the current editor contents. Switch between source, preview, and split view. Check headings, list indentation, and fenced code, then copy the source or download document.md. The download contains Markdown text, not the rendered page.
The browser keeps a local draft, which can disappear if site data is cleared; download a separate backup. Relative image paths cannot read files beside your original document. Remote images may make network requests. Raw HTML and MDX components are not rendered, and GitHub or another destination may format the same source differently.
